Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Risca Town Council website. We hope you find it interesting and informative.

Risca  (Welsh: Rhisga) is a town of approximately 12,000 people in south-east Wales, within the Caerphilly County Borough and the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire.   Risca Town Council has over 6,500 residents with a further 5.500 residents in Risca East Community Council.

DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS HEALTH CRISIS ALL COUNCIL MEETINGS IN PERSON ARE NOT ALLOWED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE FROM WELSH GOVERNMENT

However, the Council intends to continue as much community business as possible via a Remote Virtual Meeting platform recommended by Welsh Government.  The Council is currently investigating if it is practicable to invite the public and press to its remote virtual meetings.

From March 2021 the Town Clerk has been publishing truncated, early and unsigned Council meeting minutes format as instructed by Welsh Government within 7 days of all council meetings in Cymru/Wales from May 2021.  These are being added to the ‘Meetings’ folder.   All agreed and then signed Full Minutes will be arranged for and then published as soon as possible after the virtual meetings.
